About Tyree

Inspired by her surroundings, Tyree finds the subjects of her work in the world around her. Painting bucolic farm scenes and animals and sculpting woodland creatures. Tyree earned her BS in art education from Penn State University and taught for many years until she chose to focus on her two children. She spent time volunteering at their schools teaching, painting murals and helping out where she was needed. She continues to volunteer at events like Pumpkinfest and The Festival of Trees at Pearl S Buck International. Tyree has found herself making a large variety of things for a large variety of people over the years. She’s made everything from wedding carved pumpkins to photo backdrops to family trees and portraits. She rarely is working on only one project and often finds herself in the middle of jewelry-making, sculpting and teaching all at the same time.
